Liquefied petroleum gas is a flammable mixture of hydrocarbon gases which is used as a fuel in both appliances and vehicles. When it is used in vehicle as fuel it is called autogas. Different varieties of LPG are made from varied propositions of propane and butane.
LPG is also used as a aerosol propellant. It is seen as a replacement for chlorofluorocarbons in refrigerant. LPG is sometimes also referred to as GPL, LG gas or propane or butane.
